I always forget to give folks earlier notice... I guess I'm just not completely used to this having a real studio, and opening the doors to it yet...
First Saturday open Studios is this Saturday, from noon to 5pm.
It will be the first chance to buy hydrangea fascinators + headbands in person, and I've also got a big bunch of new fiber that won't be available online for awhile!
If flowers or wool don't interest you, don't forget the numerous other artists in the building!
In particular, the postcard above was created by my two-doors-down neighbor Mark, who makes amazing metal men + other incredible things. He recently completed work on the Deluxe Station Diner in Newton Centre.
Mark calls the atmosphere he created for the diner "Postmodern Victorian Whimsy". I call it stunning. I also found out that Mark has done a lot of design work for my beloved Deluxe Town Diner (Watertown)! It makes so much sense now that I've seen more of his print work.
Anyway, for those who are into renovations + process photos like me, you can see a whole bunch of them, and read more about the details on Mark's site here.
Mark is in studio 412 at Western Ave. (If you're there, don't forget to stop in & say to me in 410 too!)
Happy Thursday, and hope there's no snow in your forecast!
